I am a (BA) qualified Scriptwriter and member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain. I can provide Scriptwriting services for the film and television industry and I specialise in Love Story, Rom-Com, Rites of Passage and relationship drama.

In addition, I am a freelance feature and article writer for the Wessex Muse Magazine and other national publications. I have also written and co-produced local plays and pantomimes.

In the past I have been a fundraiser and advisor on collaborative projects for corporate clients and charities. My Company also plans and project manages film related events covering the South Coast.

'Prequel to Cannes' a film networking party, provides one to one consultations for production companies and creative individuals with South West Screen, The Writers' Guild of Great Britain, UK Trade and Investment, HSBC Banking, The Enterprise Pavilion and the Arts Development Unit. Prequel to Cannes is designed for anyone working in the film industry.

Now in its second year, the event will place on Thursday, 27th March, 2008, at the The Study Gallery of Modern Art, Poole between 6 - 10.00 pm.

The range of film associates who attended the 2007 event, covered Film professionals working as scriptwriters, actors, producers, make up artists, special effects technicians, animators, or related professional film associates.

This film networking party provides industry support along with help for independent and freelance filmmakers and film associates. It also provides opportunities for collaboration on film projects . It is intended to unite independent film writers and film makers by establishing a vibrant, proactive film community which will be able to tap into professional organisations for advice and support.

I have project managed and produced this event. It has been supported by Borough of Poole Arts Development Unit, Screen South West, The Writers' Guild, South Bank Publishing, Lighthouse (Poole Centre for the Arts). South West Screen will be available on the night to advise on how to prepare for Cannes, how to gain accreditation and what you need to do to get the most out of International Film Festival visits. Advice and application forms for bursaries will also be available on how to secure funding for your projects. In addition representatives from the Writers' Guild will be on hand to give Writers advice on how to gain accreditation and what you need to do prior to registration at Cannes. Advice will also be able on the benefits of full Guild membership.
